Everything wrote was actually very reasonable. However, what about this? what if you added a little information? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your blog, however what if you added a headline that grabbed a person's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda plain. You might look at Yahoo's front page and see how they create article titles to grab people interested. You might try adding a video or a picture or two to grab people excited about what you've written. In my opinion, it might bring your website a little livelier.
